Privacy Policy
How Windy Shore Home Services collects, uses and protects your information.
Effective August 20, 2026
Information we collect
We collect information you give us directly — your name, email address, phone number, mailing or service address, and anything else you choose to include when you contact us by form, phone or text.
We also collect some information automatically when you visit this website: IP address, browser and device characteristics, operating system, language preference, referring URLs and general location.
How we use it
To respond to your inquiries, quote and schedule work, carry out the services you ask for, and keep in touch about work in progress. If you opt in, we may also send occasional service reminders. We do not sell your personal information.
Third-party services
This website may use third-party services such as analytics providers and our lead-management platform to operate the contact form and understand site traffic. Their use of information is governed by their own privacy policies. This site may also contain links to other websites we do not control.
How we protect it
We use appropriate technical and organisational measures to protect the information we hold. No transmission over the internet can be guaranteed completely secure, but we take the protection of your information seriously.
How long we keep it
Only as long as necessary for the purposes described here, unless a longer period is required or permitted by law. After that we delete it or anonymise it.
Your rights
Depending on where you live you may have the right to access, correct or delete the personal information we hold about you, and to opt out of marketing at any time. California residents have additional rights under the CCPA/CPRA, including the right to know what we collect and how we use it, and the right to request deletion. To exercise any of these, contact us using the details below.
Children
This website and our services are not directed to anyone under eighteen, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If we learn that we have, we delete it.
Do Not Track
Because there is no uniform standard for recognising Do Not Track signals, we do not currently respond to them.
SMS / Text Messaging and Your Consent
How you opt in. You consent to receive text messages from Windy Shore Home Services when you give us your mobile number and ask us to contact you — for example by submitting a request form on this website, by ticking a text-message consent box where one is provided, or by texting us first at (224) 490-4244. Consent to receive text messages is not a condition of purchasing any goods or services.
What we send. Messages relate to the service you asked us about: replies to your questions, quotes and estimates, appointment confirmations and reminders, arrival and job-status updates, invoices and receipts, and follow-up about work we have completed for you. If you separately ticked the box consenting to marketing messages, we may also send occasional promotional offers, seasonal reminders, and news about our services. You can opt out of either kind at any time.
Frequency and cost. Message frequency varies and depends on your conversation with us. Message and data rates may apply, depending on your mobile carrier and plan.
How you opt out. You can cancel at any time by replying STOP to (224) 490-4244. We will send one confirmation and then stop texting that number. Reply HELP for help, or use the contact details at the end of this policy. Full details are in our Terms & Conditions.
No mobile information will be shared with third parties/affiliates for marketing/promotional purposes. Information sharing to subcontractors in support services, such as customer service, is permitted. All other use case categories exclude text messaging originator opt-in data and consent; this information will not be shared with any third parties.
Mobile Information and Information Sharing
This section applies to the mobile number and text-messaging consent described above.
No mobile information will be shared with third parties/affiliates for marketing/promotional purposes. Information sharing to subcontractors in support services, such as customer service, is permitted. All other use case categories exclude text messaging originator opt-in data and consent; this information will not be shared with any third parties.
You can stop messages at any time by replying STOP to (224) 490-4244, and reply HELP for help. Our full text messaging terms are in our Terms & Conditions.
Cookies and Tracking Technologies
This website uses cookies and similar technologies — small files stored by your browser — to keep the site working, remember your preferences, and understand how the site is used. We may use:
- Essential cookies, required for the site to load and function.
- Analytics cookies, which tell us in aggregate which pages are visited and how people reach us.
- Advertising and conversion tags, which let us measure whether an ad led to an inquiry.
You can refuse or delete cookies in your browser settings, and most browsers let you block them entirely. Doing so may stop parts of this site from working. Your browser may also offer a "Do Not Track" setting; because there is no common standard for how sites should respond to it, we do not currently respond to those signals.
How We Share Information
We share your information only as needed to run our business, and never in exchange for money:
- With service providers who work on our behalf — for example our website host, our customer messaging and scheduling platform, and our payment processor — who may only use it to provide that service to us.
- With subcontractors or technicians assigned to your job, limited to what they need to complete the work.
- When the law requires it, or to protect our rights, safety, or property.
No mobile information will be shared with third parties/affiliates for marketing/promotional purposes. Information sharing to subcontractors in support services, such as customer service, is permitted. All other use case categories exclude text messaging originator opt-in data and consent; this information will not be shared with any third parties.
Data Security Practices
We take reasonable administrative, technical, and physical measures to protect the information you share with us, including:
- Serving this website over an encrypted HTTPS connection, so information you submit is encrypted in transit.
- Keeping customer records in access-controlled, password-protected accounts, limited to the people who need them to do their job.
- Using reputable third-party platforms for messaging, scheduling, and payment, and relying on their security controls rather than storing that data ourselves.
- Retaining personal information only as long as it is needed, and disposing of it when it is not.
No method of transmission over the internet or of electronic storage is completely secure, so we cannot guarantee absolute security. If we become aware of a breach affecting your personal information, we will notify you as required by law.
Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Changes take effect when posted on this page, and we will revise the "Last updated" date above. If we make a material change to how we handle your information, we will make that clear on this page.
